A general election was called in the Aran Islands on 13 December 2022 after the formation of the first provincial parliamentary government in Roscamistan since Connemara converted to the presidential system in August 2022. The general election was scheduled on 13 December 2022 to be split into two parts, an executive election for the Premier of the Aran Islands, and a parliamentary election for the Legislative Council. Fearghas MacLochlainn shall stay as the nominal Governor of the Aran Islands.

Currently, the legislative council has no candidates, whilst Simeon Nikolov won the executive election unopposed.
