The Constitution of the Greater Bysalian Republic is the founding document of the Greater Bysalian Republic The Constitution was drafted after successive government problems following the downfall of Zen Corporation Government and restoration of the Bysalian Republic. The constitution draws from the United Kingdom Constitution.
History
The Constitution of the Republic of Bysalia is a collection of treaty's and agreements that make up the final document, with Laws and amendments adding onto the Constitution, the 1st constitution was repealed by the Dictatorship which was then replaced by the current Constitution which solidifies Socialism as an integral part of government and culture
Document
This document is the core founding and legal document for the Greater Bysalian Republic. Any attempt to undermine it will result in criminal charges.
Preamble
This constitution will outline the political and social structure of the Greater Bysalian Republic. This document will constitute the legal basis for the Bysalian Judicial System.
Article 1
The Citizens of Bysalia shall abide by the Criminal Code of Bysalia by utilising the Metropolitan Constabulary Service
Article 2
Each District shall have its own Army Division. The Armed Forces will be under the command of the President and the Minister for Defence.
Article 3
The National Peoples Congress will convene twice a week to discuss new legislation and meet once a month with the Communist Party Politburo to discuss the monthly plan ahead.
Article 4
The Cabinet is not an executive body. It can only advice the President and cannot make any decisions on his behalf.
Article 5
Every Citizen has the freedom of: • Speech • Not to discriminated or segregated based on creed or orientation • Religion • Sexuality
Article 6
Each citizen has the right to join the Armed Forces. National Services do not exist, although the President and General Secretary can call a General Mobilization of the population in extreme circumstances.
Article 7
Any Citizen who is found to have violated this document will be charged under the Bysalian Criminal Code. The President cannot be removed from office under a vote of no confidence. Such power to concede a vote does not exist. The Cabinet does not have the authority to order a State of Emergency. Such powers lie only with the President.
Article 8
The Government will be organised into the following Departments: • Department of Foreign Affairs • Department of Internal Affairs • Department of Defence • Department of Finance • Department of Justice • Department of Media Communications • Department of State Security
Article 9
Policing will be undertaken by the Metropolitan Constabulary in conjunction with the Department of State Security.
Article 10
The State of Bysalia is a Single Party Socialist Republic. The Ruling Party is the Communist Party of the Greater Bysalian Republic (CPGBR).
Conclusion
Socialism is an integral part of the building of the nation, any attempts to remove Socialism from the constitution or in the Bysalian cultural system will be tried for treason under article 4 of the Bysalian Criminal Code ‘’Treason is defined as an act of which the perpetrator commits acts against the sovereignty of the nation and/or attempting to dismantle the bricks of the Socialist movement within Bysalia’’
This Constitution is legally binding under the Bysalian Criminal Code.
