The conflict between the Free Democratic People's Soviet Socialist Republic of Jocistan and the widely unrecognised Republic of I Do Not Like Jocistan began when the Republic of I Do Not Like Jocistan was founded as an obstacle to Jocistani independence, instantly declaring war on Jocistan.
Outbreak of Hostilities
Hostilities emerged in late March 2018, when the Republic of I Do Not Like Jocistan declared its independence, aiming to obstruct the formation of the Free Democratic People's Soviet Socialist Republic of Jocistan, which had declared its independence on 12 May.
Early Days of Fighting
Early Stalemate
A stalemate quickly developed, as Jocistan was to maintain sufficient numbers of troops to the front at any one time, and I Do not Like Jocistan's fighting force, despite being dwarfed by the Jocistani Red Guard and poorly trained, was persistent and resilient. However, Jocistan soon managed to capture I Do Not Like Jocistan's President, sending him to the Jocngrad Gulag. He did, however, soon escape, and fighting - along with the stalemate - resumed.
I Do Not Like Jocistan then recruited its second citizen, who established an I Do Not Like Jocistani Air Force, consisting of one helicopter drone. Before this drone could be used to any advantage, however, its leader defected to Jocistan, taking his drone with him, and establishing the Jocistani People's Red Air Force.
Diplomatic Interventions of Toristan, Jackistan, and the British Empire
At this time, both the Autocracy of Jackistan and Empire of Toristan also declared their independence, inspired by Jocistan, and both allied to Jocistan. Both diplomatically supported Jocistan, with Jackistan's Grand High Autocrat and Dictator wrote to Jocistan's Supreme Leader and Premier for Life, "I would like to congratulate [you] for your work fighting against the immature informal crazy ‘I Do Not Like Jocistan’."
However, the I Do Not Like Jocistanis also enjoyed a short period of diplomatic support from the British Empire
Jackistani Intervention in the Conflict
Following this diplomatic support, Jackistan formally joined Jocistan in a state of war with I Do Not Like Jocistan on 22 March 2018, having begun intervention the previous day. This gave Jocistan a major advantage, and resulted in I Do Not Like Jocistan's territory being entirely occupied, and petitioned between Jocistan and Jackistan. This led to a lull in fighting, which, aside from occasional skirmishes, continued for the next few months. There was also very limited Toristani intervention during this period, though a formal declaration of war was never made.
The I Do Not Like Jocistani Forces, consequentially, were reduced to guerrilla militia, and significantly weakened.
Short - Lived Ceasefire of Friday 18th May
Detainment of President Page
On Friday 19 May 2018, President Page was detained by Jocistani Red Guards. He was brought to Jocistan's Supreme Leader and Premier for Life, who offered a ceasefire in exchange for his freedom, and potential Jocistani withdrawal from the territory that it occupied. President Page accepted these terms, and subsequently watched a match of Jocistani M.M.A. from the box of Jocistan's Supreme Leader and Premier for Life.
Bringing Into Effect The Ceasefire
Over the next few days, the ceasefire was brought into effect, though Jocistani state media notably did not report it. One major liability, however, which Jocistani diplomats were unable to resolve, was that Jackistan refused outright to join the ceasefire.
Failure of the Ceasefire
The ceasefire had always had two major liabilities, however: the I Do Not Like Jocistanis needed a means of opposing Jocistan, which they could not do peacefully, and the Jackistanis had refused to join the ceasefire. Consequentially, the ceasefire imploded on 22 May 2018, with the I Do Not Like Jocistanis formally pulling out. Fighting immediately resumed, with the I Do Not Like Jocistanis making gains. However, this was soon reversed, leading to a resumption of the stalemate.
Resolution of the Conflict
British Empire's "Pagian Policy" for Peace
On May 30, 2018, the British Empire devised a peace policy, known as the "Pagian Policy" on the grounds that it stipulated that I Do Not Like Jocistan should be renamed "Pagia" as part of its peace suggestions. It also stipulated that as part of the peace accords, the I Do Not Like Jocistanis should regain all their former territory, half of which had been annexed by Jackistan, and half of which was occupied by Jocistan, despite Jocistan recognising it as part of the U.K.
Jocistani Peace With I Do Not Like Jocistan
On 4 June 2018, Jocistan approached the I Do Not Like Jocistanis with this peace agreement. The I Do Not Like Jocistanis immediately accepted these terms, and the Jackistanis also accepted them, albeit more reluctantly. However, the Pagian Policy was not followed exactly, as Jackistan did not return the territory that it occupied.
