Etymology
The title Burgrave (Swedish: burggreve, earlier spelling burggrefve) comes from the German and Swedish middle ages and literally means "count of the castle". One of the key symbols of Mimas is a castle, the Red Bastion, it is featured on both the coat of arms and the Mimasian flag. Being a Burgrave of Mimas means being a count of the Red Bastion, a protector of Mimas.
Insignia
A Burgrave of Mimas holds three symbols that make out the insignia of the burgrave. First, a rod of gold depicting a castle followed by a coronet with pearls and a red tassel. One cannot be created Burgrave of Mimas without first having received the Order of Saint Walpurgis and the Second Monarchy as its neck ribbon is the third piece of the insignia. It is often said that the order of Saint Walpurgis and the Second Monarchy is given to friends of Mimas, and the title of burgrave is given to heroes of Mimas.

The citation
"His friendship and support has fostered a deep relation between our two nations. It is no longer possible to fully tell the story of Mimas without mentioning His Majesty Varuna Sriraya at some point. His professionalism and mannerism guides the way for new and younger micronations, so for this and so much more I gladly create and ennoble him Burgrave of Mimas."
