The Buddhist Socialist Party (BSP) or Buddhistisk Socialistisk Parti in Danish, is a communist party in Limbolia. The party's main ideologies are, Communism, Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, and Buddhist Socialism They also hold 1 seat in the Limbolian Council, but have 14 seats reserved for them which they stated will be given to any new parties who may register or will be given to new party members.

History and profile

The Buddhist Socialist Party (BSP) was established on the 21st of July 2024 after the dissolution of the Socialist Republic of Limbolia, it considered itself the continuation of the party, but under a new name and structure. The Party was established to change the ideological structure of Limbolia and bring Buddhism back into Limbolian Politics.

The party became the ruling party in Limbolian when the Republic of Limbolia was reestablished during the Limbolian Restoration, they were a part of the Workers' Party of Limbolia and immediately disbanded the Workers' Party after just a few weeks of its existence. As the entire People's Assembly agreeing on the disbandment of the Workers' Party and the disbandment of the Socialist Republic, the BSP managed to reestablish the Republic of Limbolia without any issues and without the party members even being anywhere near Limbolia at the time. They were democratically elected during the Limbolian Restoration after a few days of ruling the country, the election turned out to really favor the BSP with 100% of the votes going to the BSP.

The BSP considers itself the continuation of the Workers’ Party of Limbolia, as the party was created at the same time of the Workers’ Party’s dissolution with the same old leadership. The BSP has a quite different structure of the Workers’ Party, but ultimately have the same old party members. The BSP is quite critical of the socialist republic and the Workers’ Party and says it was an ineffective leadership.

Ideological Structure

The Buddhist Socialist Party is Communist, Marxist-Leninist-Maoist, and Buddhist Socialist.

The Buddhist Socialist Party wants Buddhism to be in the politics of Limbolia, and wants Buddhism to be a way of representing Limbolia and Limbolians as a study in 2023 said that 100% of Limbolians are Buddhists, though it's outdated since the population has doubled since that study. The Buddhist Socialist Party is also Communist, and wrote the constitution of Limbolia [1] to be socialist and provides Free Healthcare, Housing, Food, Water, and more to the citizens to Limbolia.

The Buddhist Socialist Party also endorses the method of People’s war.

The BSP is openly critical against the Israeli invasion of Gaza and Lebanon, and have openly supported Palestine and often call Israel colonisers, terrorists, and other things. They also claim that Israel has committed war crimes, and crimes against humanity. they have called for the Prime Minister of Israel to stand trial for his actions.

The BSP stated on the 9th of December 2024 that they would not be supporting any side in the Syrian Civil War. They stated their reasoning being due to the ideological structure and actions of the parties and rebel groups involved. [2]

Parliament

The Buddhist Socialist Party has so far participated in 1 total election, winning the second 2024 elections. They currently hold all of the seats in the Limbolian Council, but has stated that they will be giving seats to any new political parties as there are a lot of empty seats.
