Limbolia, officially the Socialist Republic of Limbolia, was a sovereign state, most often characterized as a micronation. Limbolia was situated in Northern Europe and was completely surrounded by The Kingdom of Denmark on all 9 sides, with the Capital being Limburg.

On the 20th of March 2022, The Republic of Limbolia was founded by Sylvia Andersen, the nation was founded as a Marxist-Leninist Democracy, and turned into a Buddhist Socialist Republic after an election. Eventually a communist revolution took place forming the Socialist Republic of Limbolia, but was shortly after dissolved and succeeded by the Republic of Limbolia.

Government and politics

The Socialist Republic of Limbolia was one of the few socialist countries following the Marxist–Leninist ideology. The constitution of 12th of June 2024 saw Limbolia becoming a Socialist Republic, the constitution also describes the Workers' Party of Limbolia as the sole leading party of Limbolia.

The Limbolian People's Assembly served as Limbolia's highest judicial branch of government. It was also the court of last resort for all appeals against the decisions of provincial courts.

Foreign relations

Limbolia had no real foreign relations, though they did have some agreements on cultural respect and mutual recognition which also served as mutual recognition. (The Limbolia-Samizdat Culture Statement is currently on hold until they have some mutual understanding). Limbolia has a hard time making relations with other nations due to it being a Socialist Republic.

Economy

Limbolia used Limbolian Krona as their official currency with the only alternative currency being gold or the Euro. The Limbolian Economy is a Planned-Economy. The economy heavily relied on aid from the President's own money despite the President being pretty poor herself. The GDP of Limbolia is $3500 and the GDP pr Capita is $400.

Population and area

Limbolia has 6 square meters, its completely surrounded in Northern Europe by the Kingdom of Denmark. In the province of Plania, the climate is usually around 21°C and -3°C during winter.

The population of Limbolia is 2 people and Limbolia is predominantly Buddhist despite Limbolia not officially being a religious nation. The Socialist Republic of Limbolia has 2 districts, Limburg, and Plania.

Limbolia was officially established on the 20th of March 2022, after 5 months of existing, it was dissolved as Sylvia's Mental Health completely crashed, on the 1st of August 2023 Limbolia was reestablished as the Republic of Limbolia, Sylvia finally made a currency called the Limbolian Dollar which is tied to the EURO, 1 Euro = 2 Limbolian Dollars, The Limbolian Dollar cannot be used outside of Limbolia as it only has Official Recognition by The Limbolian Republic, The EURO's only use in Limbolia is trading in for the Limbolian Dollar at the Limbolian Bank, you CANNOT trade in the Danish Krone for Limbolian Dollar or EURO in the Limbolian Bank as Sylvia does not wanna do the Math. Sylvia also made the Limbolian Pass Port which will be issued out to any and all Limbolian Citizens who reside within the Kingdom of Denmark or Limbolia itself. On the 1st of August, 8 hours after the reestablishment of Limbolia, the Limbolian Website was back up and running.

Al-Qaeda's War on Limbolia

On the 18th of August 2023, Al-Qaeda officially declared war on Denmark and Sweden, President Sylvia said that probably included Limbolia as well and recognized the War Declaration as Including Limbolia due to Al-Qaeda not recognizing Limbolia as an independent state. This was only recognized because of National Security concerns. While legally speaking Limbolia is still at war with Al-Qaeda, the Limbolian Armed Forces have not been involved.

Limbolia lost lands

On the 8th of October 2023, the Council of Limbol decided to unclaim some territory in Northern Limbolia, in exchange Denmark would help Limbolia on building infrastucture.

Rise of Buddhism

The Rise of Buddhism started somewhere in 2024. On the 20th of February, Limbolian News published an article about the percentage of Buddhists in Limbolia, the results were 100% Buddhist. On the 24th of February the Leader of the Limbolian Communist Party left the Communist Party, and the day after she established the Buddhist Democratic Party, and even proposed Oh Mani Padme Um as the Limbolian National Anthem, though it never reached Parliament. The Buddhist Democratic Party would eventually win the 2024 Elections and become the ruling party of Limbolia.

The New Republic

After the Buddhist Democratic Party took over, the Republic went through a huge change, changing from a Communist Republic to a Buddhist Socialist Republic, with a new New Flag, New National Anthem, Coat of Arms, and a whole new constitution.

The Communist Revolution

President Sylvia Andersen was tired of running a revisionist Government, as the new constitution prevents her from calling any elections, she launched a Communist Revolution and seized power in 2 seconds forming the new Socialist Republic of Limbolia, it replaced the Council of Limbol with the Limbolian People's Assembly, disbanding the Buddhist Democratic Party and establishing the Workers' Party of Limbolia.

Limbolian Reformation

President Sylvia Andersen realized the stupidity of the revolution and decided to reestablish the former Republic of Limbolia and created the Buddhist Socialist Party. She started the 1 week plan to tranform Limbolia back to it's former glory, which is still ingoing. The Limbolian Council would also redeclare Oh Mani Padme Um the national anthem.

Military

The Limbolian Armed Forces is the official military of the Socialist Republic of Limbolia, administrated and funded by the Limbolian People's Assembly. The President is commander-in-chief of the military.

Currently Limbolia has a standing army with 1 member, and has only had 1 member since March 2022. While the Military is small, it's pride carries on despite the low manpower and horrible equipment.

Administrative divisions

Limbolia only has 2 administrative divisions. Limburg is the official political and economic capital of Limbolia, it never gets any light and the entire country is run from that administrative devision. Plania is mainly used as a meditation area, it gets to semi-administer itself but is heavily influensed by Limburg.
