The Battle of North Virginia City was a military confrontation in North Virginia City, the former capital of the Johnston's Creek Republic. It began after a large scale assault by the JCLA after encouragement by the IPCP. The attack was lead by Pregnant Nathan, with a division of Douglas Grant Park artillery and heavy machine guns being deployed to provide ranged fire support.
Background
On 25 January 2021, the JCLA attacked a munitions depot at the small village of Rat Egg, in an attempt to sever the Badu Parkian supply line under guidance from the IPCP. The assault was a military success, however strategically useless, as Badu Park still maintained strong supply lines via neighbouring Taylor Street, and within 2 days, the supply line through Johnston's Creek was reestablished. The failure of the assault on Rat Egg left the JCLA without a strategic military target, and the rebels refocused on achieving ideological goals, beginning with an attempt to recapture the former Johnston's Creek capital, North Virginia City, and on 28 January, the rebels amassed outside the city via a JCLA pathway built through the near by Kennards Self Storage, preparing for an attack.
The Battle
On 28 January 2021, the rebels amassed at the north side of the city, behind the majority of the Badu Parkian defensive line. At 11:00, the JCLA advanced on the city, prepared to engage the full force of the defending troops, instead meeting limited resistance.
