The Barony of Crisardie (in french : Baronnie de Crisardie ; and in dibi: Baroni Krisardian or Baroni Crisardi) is a sovereign micronationnal state of the Dirtybiologistan, member of the ACTL (cooperative association of free territories). It recognizes the People’s Republic of Dirtybiologistan but the barony has its own constitution.

Etymology

The micronation's comes from the name of a stream, tributary of the aisne in the north of France.

History

The Barony was officially created on 4 April 2022 under the leadership of Noah Lampenois, who, following the Dibist Legitimacy Crisis, decided to make his Proto-Barony, a micronational state in its own right.

Politics and government

Political system

Crisardie is a Barony of Divine Right. The legislative and executive powers are confused but distributed between the Baron and the Baronial Subjects meeting in the "People’s Council" (CPC). The judicial and notarial power is exclusively reserved for the nobility gathered in the "Council of Nobles" (CNC).

The Baron

The Baron possesses the power of drafting and enacting laws for the Barony. He has a veto over the decisions of the people and represents the Barony until abdication.

Crisardian People’s Council (CPC)

The people are king, therefore they have the power to draft and enact laws for the Barony through a majority vote. He also has the right to veto the Baron’s decisions if a "veto" law is approved by the majority.

The present Baron is Noah the 1st of Crisardi. His full name is Noah Guilbert Garbriel, Lampenois-Binet De Crisardi.

Crisardian Nobles Council (CNC)

The nobles have several privileges but also duties recalled in the Charter of Rights and Duties of the Noble (CDDN). Among other things, the nobleman must settle legal disputes on his lands and exercise the notarial function. If a Noble considers himself incompetent in his task, he can ask the CNC to take care of it. If the CNC is unable to deal with a case, the Baron may be referred directly.

Nobility

The Official Titles

The Crisardian Nobility is a group of citizens, who share their "nobility of soul", their "services rendered to the barony" (or that (those) rendered by their forefathers) is assigned privileges and duties through an hereditary title of nobility. These titles are called Official Titles.

There are four of them: Baron, Baronnet, Chevalier, Écuyer.

Rights and Duties of the Nobles

The Rights and Duties of the Nobles are inscribed in the CDDN ("Charter of the Rights and Duties of the Noble") which they must sign in order to be officially knighted. So the nobles have the right:

  • represent their territory(s) internationally
  • to soften a subject with a title of nobility inferior to oneself
  • attend and vote on the CNC (Crisardian Nobles Council)
  • request an audience at any time with the Baron

And they must:

  • to render justice within their jurisdiction
  • manage the administrative and notarial aspect of their jurisdiction
  • defend the fundamental rights guaranteed by the Crisardie Fundamental Charter (CFC)
  • ensure the proper functioning of the CFC
  • defend the integrity of the territory
  • defend the physical, psychological and moral integrity of its subjects
  • promote the interests of Crisardie internationally.

Honorary Titles (unofficial)

According to his will, the Baron may award an honorary title which will have as its objective the "nobility of soul", a "service rendered to the barony" of an individual (subject of the barony or not) without conferring on it any rights or duties usually accompanying the official titles of nobility. An honorary title is not hereditary.

Diplomatic relations

The Barony of Crisardie, through the CFC, recognizes any self-proclaimed Dibistan state.

La Baronnie is also a member of the Association Coopérative des Territoires Libres (ACTL) and the MicroNation Unies (MNU).

Apart from Dibistan, the Barony officially recognizes two (2) states: the Toubak Republic (bilateral recognition) and the Republic of Jailavera (unilateral recognition). But several informal agreements make the Barony one of the most active nations diplomatically with the outside of the Dibistan.

Territories and Citizenship

Land claims

Representation of the Flags/Coat of Arms

Barony claims as territory any physical or virtual representation of its flag or its baronial coat of arms. Thus the territory is finite faith, but infinitely extensible by human creativity.

Each citizen therefore has the right to make his own version of the baronial flag and to have it recognized by the Civil Secretariat.

Exceptions

There are other land claims other than figurative representation. They are:

  • The Dibistan Pixel 033;153 belonging to Noah Lampenois
  • The Pixel 034;158 of the Dibistan belonging to Baelm D'Imlys
  • The Druids's Stone: territory/physical embassy of the Crisardie enclave in the French territory, with an area of 2 square meters.

Baronneterie (or Baroneti)

Definition and function

The territory of the Flag/Coat of Arms is divided into baronnetry (or baroneti), each administered by a baronnet. A baronety is, in most cases, a symbol of the flag or coat of arms. It can also be a territory not resulting from figurative representation (example: a Dibistan pixel).

The presence of one of the symbols on your personal version of the flag automatically puts you in a baronetcy. If you have more than one symbol, you can choose your baronneterie. If your version of the flag/coat of arms does not have any of the baronneterial symbols, you can request the creation of a new baronneterie (called "exceptional") subject to acceptance by the Baron in function.

List of Baronneterie

There are :

  • Crisardia (pixel 033;153) [virtual]
  • Druids's Stone (Pierre des Druides in France) (physical embassy of Crisardie in France.) [physical]
  • Purple Chevron (Chevron Pourpre in french) [figural]

  • Carrier Rabbit (Lapin Porteur in french) [figural]
  • Crisardian lavender (Lavande Crisardienne in french) [figural]
  • Imlys (pixel: 034;158) [virtual]

Culture and media

The Crisardian Culture very focused on the human valorization of people and goods puts a point of honor to highlight human creativity, self-confidence and the beauty of art and crafts.

Intra-State Languages and Dialect

Several languages are spoken within the barony:

  • French [official]: main spoken language and administrative language
  • Dibi [official]: second language spoken but not very present in the administration. Initiatives of the Baron are under way to learn the language and thus to include it more easily in the baronial administration. It is a language built by the Dibist academy.
  • Gabrielliun (or Gabrielois) [official]: dialect/daughter language of French including some variations and a total independence of academic/academic standards
  • Miribelliun [official]: a built-up language that is rarely spoken, governed by the Miribelle Council (CdM).
  • Shadok [non-official] is a language derived from an audio-visual broadcast that has been adapted for daily use.

Religion

The state religion is Destinieism (or Pantheon Cult of Destinies). His belief and practice are by no means obligatory, and religious freedom is a principle advocated by the barony.

Economy

Curency symbol

The official currency in Crisardie is the Axolat Crisardiens (symbol attached). Its value is indexed to that of the international stamp sold by the French company La Poste. Its current unit value (12/august/2022) is €1.65 or $1.693321.

This indexing coincides with the baronial desire to strengthen the human bond offered by the epistolary means.
