The Newgraviate of Saint-Castin (French: Neugraviat de Saint-Castin), also simply and commonly known as Saint-Castin, is a North American micronation and an enclave in Quebec, Canada. The capital city is Tekakwitha, and the country has five official languages which are the Quebec French, the national language, plus Innu, English, Cree and Atikamekw. Furthermore the Basque is a recognized regional language.

Saint-Castin was founded a Margraviate in 24 June 2014, and soon it became a republic through a coup d'état in 24 July 2014. Subsequently, in 10 September of that same year, Saint-Castin was annexed by the Federal Republic of St.Charlie. In 1 August 2015 Saint-Castin proclaimed its independence from St. Charlie, restoring its sovereignity. In 1 October 2020 the Minister-President Dominic Desaintes restored Saint-Castin's monarchy as a Newgraviate and under a new monarch, allowing the micronation to become one of the more culturally developed micronations in North America. In 5 January 2022 Saint-Castin became the first North American micronation to join the Conference of Santiago.


Founded on June 24 day of St. John the Baptist, Valinois—Saint-Castin was established as a constitutional monarchy. The ruler of the new state was Louis-Phillippe called the Old Margrave. The monarch, aged 92 years, was in power than a month, and this period was seen against the national history books as the July Monarchy. On 24 July 2014, the Prime Minister of the time, Dominic Desaintes overthrew the monarchy led by a coup in complicity with the National Zouaves. A provisional government was established in L’Heureux-bowsprit, capital of the new Social Democratic Appalacho-Laurentian republic of St. Castin. The Republican government undertook to establish a provisional constitution. On August 1, the provisional government was overthrown by monarchists who kept the power 3 days. They tried to put the power of the sovereign in-law of Louis Philippe, Remi. The next day he died of leukemia lightning. On August 6, 2014, a new coup orchestrated by the Military Staff of the National Zouaves. They agreed not to retain power as 3 weeks. On 26 August 2014, a new head of government is in place. This is Dominic Desaintes, former prime minister, to take the reins of the state. He then engaged in a wave of reforms and proclaims, August 30, 2014, the Republic of Saint-Castin. On September 14, following a negotiations, the Republic ended and the state was integrated to the Federal Republic of St.Charlie as Autonomous Province of the Federation of Atlantis. During march the district of Valinois was added, the official name was changed to refer to territorial reality. After some troubles with St.Charlian official, the government of Valinois—Saint-Castin decided to secede and form an independent republic on August 1, 2015. The independent Republic of Saint-Castin developed to be one of the most developed Canadian-based micronations. On 5 January 2020 the nation joined the Conference of Santiago.


The Valinois-Saint-Castin is located on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River in the Laurentians. Saint-Castin is composed of several enclaves located in Mascouche River valley and on the island of Montreal. The Valinois is located on the north shore of the Saguenay Fjord, near Chicoutimi. Valinois—Saint-Castin is an autonomous province as part of the Federation of Atlantis, which itself is a constituent part of the Federal Republic of San Charlie. Located in the valley of the St. Lawrence, the territory consists of an archipelago of enclaves which is divided into two separate districts.
