The 2023 Åxenö presidential election would be the first election in Åxenös history. It was delayed as Åkerblom was sick. The election was going to happen on 1 November 2023. There where two candidates, Axel Himberg and Marius Åkerblom. The election did not happen as Himberg dissolved Åxenö and founded the French Republic.

Enviormental act repeal
In the lead up to the election, 2 days before the election on 18 September 2023, Himberg would repeal the Enviormental act without getting permission from the parliment. After this Himberg did ask parliment but Åkerblom was not invited. Himberg would still repeal the enviormental act.
Election Date
Marius Åkerblom would be sick for 9 days leading up to the election. Parliment had to change the election date from 10 September to 20 September. Himberg would announce on 25 September that "the election will be on 1 November to get ready for the election". The election did not happen as Himberg dissolved Åxenö and founded the French Republic.
