Leader 1 Ryan Push announced that he will run for re-election on May 11, 2022. Allen Heldt announced his bid to run against Push on May 14. This is the first time an incumbent Leader 1 has been challenged since Will Baxa challenged Xavier Berhow in the 2018 Jacktopian Election.
