Former Leader 5 Will Baxa challenged incumbent Leader 1 Xavier Berhow. This marked the second time an incumbent Leader lost an election for Leader, the first being Berhow defeating incumbent Leader 2 John Henry Tasset to gain his Leader 1 seat. Interestingly, the third time an incumbent Leader lost election was Berhow losing his Leader 5 seat to Gavin Potter in 2021.
