The 2021 Trimlandian coup d'état took place on 2 August 2021, when then Grand Duke Nyck Bradaten staged a bloodless coup d'etat against the government of then President Tee Tian Wen.
The aftermath of the coup saw the inauguration of a new government– the State Security Council (SSC) to replace the now overthrown Tee Tian Wen government. The coup also signaled the start of Trimland's decay, which would lead to its inactivity and eventually, its dissolution not long after.
Plot
The coup was simple when it unfolded. Then Grand Duke Aniq Sufyan stopped recognizing the government of Tee Tian Wen as valid. He then organized a council to replace Tian Wen's government. It later was named the "State Security Council" (SSC) and was endorsed by Aniq as the new government. The reason for the coup is unknown as and as been lost to time. However, it is known that it was a result of disagreements between Aniq and Tian Wen.
Results
After the coup, Aniq assumed more executive, legislative and judicial powers. Tee Tian Wen then founded Pogland, a new micronation and an incarnation of Trimland as a result of having been overthrown in the coup.
