The MVFF Challenge Cup was a virtual football tournament held from 13–16 May 2017. It was a official qualifying tournament for the MVFF World Cup in 2017. There was be 6 teams. It was organized by the Micronational Virtual Football Federation. If the winner already qualifies for the World Cup, the runner-up will qualify. The Polish Republic of Freeland entered the Challenge Cup despite already qualifying as the hosts of the World Cup.
After being designated as an organizer, Occitania refused to host the cup because it had no role in the simulation of the matches and the organization of the challenge.
