Fosalk, officially the United Soviet Republics of Fosalk (USRF) (Icelandic: Sameinuðu Sovétlýðveldin Fosalk or SSF), known as Soviet Fosalk, was a transcontinental micronation located in North America and Europe with a population of 20 citizens. It borders with the United States, Norway, the United Kingdom, Austria, and Italy. It's capital is Folketstad and it is a Single Party Socialist Mixed Regime since 25th,January,2022. Fosalk has a 3.0/5 on the Categoric-Gradial System of Classification and a score of 2.6/5 on Daniel's Scale of Micronational Seriousness. The micronation was formerly the United States of Friendship. The micronation dissolved on the 24th of March 2023.
Etymology
The name Fosalk derrives from the combination of the Norwegian Words "United Socialist People" (Forent sosialist folk)
History
Revolution
Initial Phase
The start of the Revolution occurred on November,20th,2021 at 12:37pm EST with 10% of the citizens going on protest for the lack of government Transparency. At 12:51pm EST the Volkspräsident of the United States of Friendship backed the protesters. At 12:53pm EST the Government stood down and allowed the Revolutionary Government to take power.
Revolutionary Government
Shorty after the Revolution the Revolutionary Government attempted to unify the people which worked well. After this the new constitution was drafted and was signed on January,31st,2022.
Post Revolution
United Soviet Republics of Fosalk
On February,2nd,2022 the new constitution came into effect, reorganizing the revolutionary government into a collection of state soviets under the authority of the National Councils. The National Councils were originally made up of three councils: the National Soviet, the Supreme Soviet, and the Military Soviet. Following a constitutional amendment on April,5th,2022 the Military Soviet was disbanded, the amendment reads: "Following the difficulty of passing legislation and the fact that the military has ultimate power over legislation, the military soviet will be disbanded. A similar council of lower power called the Council of the Armed Forces will be formed to deal with military specific matters in the realm of training and budget allocation. The Supreme Soviet will overwatch this new council". During mid april Folkets Representant Ayane Martinez made her 2022 goals public. Her goals for 2022 are to: define Folkish culture, create a Folkish language, and start up the first Folkish industries.
Dissolution
On the 24th of March 2023, General Secretary Ayane Martinez announced the dissolution of the SSRF following the 3 month long government activity that came after a 6 month long streak of citizen inactivity.
