The United Republic of Kwajalein is a micronation founded on January 20, 2017. It is a Federal Republic comprising of 8 districts, one of which is the capital. It occupies about 1 square mile of land on Kwajalein Island, Marshall Islands.

History

The United Republic of Kwajalein was founded on January 20 (January 21 in the URoK), 2017, following the inauguration of US President Donald J. Trump. It was founded by REDACTED and REDACTED. REDACTED was inaugurated President on January 31, 2017, after which Parliament was formed, and governing got underway.

The first official act of government on February 4, 2017, was to suspend the Representative of Imperium Habiatoni, REDACTED, amid accusations of corruption, meaning he violated the Constitution. Imperium Habiatoni was placed under Federal Advisory Protection on the same day. Fourteen days later (Feb. 18), REDACTED's suspension was lifted. However, the Federal Advisory Protection was not lifted until ten days later (Feb 28th). These actions are viewed with much controversy by REDACTED and his supporters.

On April 12, 2017, REDACTED was inaugurated President following no election. REDACTED saw this as controversial, and it was found out that it was decided by the Parliament (while REDACTED was suspended) that the second President would be REDACTED. On April 15, the Parliament was renamed the Federal Assembly, and the Ducis (executive branch) was formed.

On May 11, 2017, REDACTED called a Presidential hearing over concerns of REDACTED being corrupt. It was cancelled by the FAC-J (which includes REDACTED), saying it was too late in REDACTED's term to impose a punishment.

The first election took place on May 31 - June 1, 2017. REDACTED, Chairperson of the Liberal Party, won the election, and was inaugurated on June 8, 2017.

On August 31, 2017, the FAC-J announced an investigation regarding the integrity of itself to cancel the Presidential Hearing.

On December 12, 2017, President REDACTED called for a snap election and resigned, and on December 15, Mr. REDACTED was inaugurated as the President of the URoK.

In February 2018, the FAC-J investigation into itself concluded, and the FAC-J arrested former President REDACTED, based on evidence that was presented against REDACTED by REDACTED in 2017. REDACTED was acquitted, and later that month, REDACTED won a second term.

In late March 2018, Education-General REDACTED resigned and declared independedce with REDACTED as the Kingdom of Maudreyville. On March 31, the URoK declared war following an attack by Maudreyville. The war ended after the Battle of White Park, with the result being a URoK victory. On May 1, REDACTED's term ended and REDACTED was appointed as AP-E (Acting President - Emergency) on May 19. On May 31, REDACTED was elected President by the Federal Assembly.

Government and politics

The legislative branch of the URoK is the Federal Assembly, and the executive branch is the Ducis. The Federal Assembly consists of the 7 Representatives, and the Ducis consists of the Generals. The President is a member of both the Federal Assembly and the Ducis.

Law and order

The head of the police is the Secretary-General, but major actions can not be taken without the consent of the Federal Assembly.

The Supreme Court is the Federal Assembly Committee of Justice (or simply Justice Committee). It oversees all courts and investigations, and its chair is the Justice-General.

Foreign relations

Foreign relations is handled by the FAC-FR (Federal Assembly Committee of Foreign Relations) and the Secretary-General.

The URoK has entered (informal) relations with the Republic of the Marshall Islands.

Military

The head of the military is the Secretary-General, but major military action can not be taken without the consent of the Federal Assembly.

In March 2018, President REDACTED dissolved the military. However, following the Declaration of Independence by Maudreyville a week later, it was reestablished to no avail.

The de facto military is the Kwajalein Provisional Army (KPA). It is endorsed and sponsored by the government.

Geography and climate

The island that the nation occupies part of is part of Kwajalein Atoll. The island is mostly made up of coral, which does not allow for much biodiversity. Everything from the Federal District onwards is reclaimed land. The island is mostly flat, the tallest point being Bunker Hill in the Federal District.

The average temperature varies less than 2 °F (1.1 °C) from month to month. The record low from 1950 to 1969 was 70 °F (21 °C). The highest temperature was 97 °F (36 °C).[1] The dry season occurs from January to April. The average annual rainfall was 101.2 inches (2,570 mm). The average monthly relative humidity is between 78 and 83%.[1]
