The State of Darsah was a self-proclaimed micronation that asserts its authority over Oneilland East, an old barony. Founded by Peter Julius, a Polish politician and entrepreneur, the micronation declared its independence from the United Kingdom in 2023, and since then, has been attempting to assert its sovereignty over the land. The State of Darsah was home to a small, but permanent population of individuals who have chosen to reside in the micronation. Although the State of Darsah has gained recognition from some other micronations, it has yet to be acknowledged by any sovereign states. This lack of recognition has hindered the micronation's ability to engage in diplomatic relations with other nations, limiting its international reach and influence. Nonetheless, the State of Darsah remains determined to assert its independence and fight for international recognition.

History

The State of Darsah was founded on March 28, 2023, by Peter Julius, who established the nation as a military junta. The decision to create the State of Darsah was made in response to a perceived need for greater security and control in the region.

From its founding, the State of Darsah has been focused on expanding its territory and influence. In particular, the National Committee, led by President Julius, has expressed a desire to take control of the island claimed by the State of Darsah by the year 2040.

In the years since its founding, the State of Darsah has remained a highly centralized state, with the National Committee serving as the sole governing body. The military holds significant power in the State of Darsah, and the National Committee was made up primarily of military leaders.

Despite its small size and relatively recent founding, the State of Darsah has already made its presence known on the world stage. Its unique form of government and ambitious territorial goals have garnered attention from micronational enthusiasts and political observers alike.

On, 24 April 2023, the State of Darsah ceded it’s claimed territory (Darsah Island) back to Yemen. Currently, Darsah's focus has shifted to a new territorial claim, a former barony in Northern Ireland known as Oneilland East. This claim was significant for the micronation as it represents a new frontier for their sovereignty and expansion.

On, May 22, 2023, the State of Darsah forged an alliance with the Arjuinst Economical Co-Operation, marking a significant milestone in their partnership. As a result, Darsah embraced the Arkhian Rupee as its official currency, solidifying the bonds it had established with the Arjunist Empire of Arkhia. This momentous occasion was further celebrated with the inauguration of the first-ever business establishment in Darsah, signifying the commencement of a new era of economic growth and cooperation in the region. Following the disbandment of the Arjuinst Economical Co-Operation, Darsah on September 3 2023 made the decision to discontinue the use of the Arkhian Rupee as its official currency and subsequently ceased operations of the business venture.

On, September 3, 2023, President Peter Julius of Darsah initiated a transformative shift in the nation's political landscape. Under his leadership, the existing Military Junta was restructured into an Autocratic Republic. This transformation allowed for elections to be held, granting the citizens of Darsah the opportunity to participate in the democratic process by electing representatives to the National Committee. This move marked a pivotal turning point in Darsah's governance, ushering in a new era of political inclusivity and representation within the micronation.

On, June 13, 2024, President Julius officially ceded back Darsah's territory to the United Kingdom and dissolved the nation.
