The House of Yen (甄之屋), also called the Taihanese Imperial Household (邰國內務府) or Yen dynasty (甄王朝), comprises those members of the extended family of the reigning Emperor of Taihan who undertake official and public duties. Under the present Constitution of Taihan, the Emperor is the symbol of the state and unity of the people. Other members of the Yen dynasty perform ceremonial and social duties. The duties as an emperor are passed down the line to children and their children's children and so on.

Article 5 of the Imperial Household Law (皇室典範的規定) defines the imperial family (皇室) as the empress (皇后); the empress dowager (皇太后); the grand empress dowager (太皇太后); Emperor's legitimate sons and legitimate grandsons in the legitimate male-line (帝國王子) and their consorts (慈禧駙馬); Emperor's unmarried legitimate daughters and unmarried legitimate granddaughters in the legitimate male-line (公主); Emperor's other male descendants in the legitimate male-line (王) and their consorts (女王); and the Emperor's other unmarried female descendants in the legitimate male-line (女王).
