The Sharktooth is one of two currencies used in the Empire of the Kingdom of the Shark, the other being the Pound Sterling. It was created in the days after the nation was founded on 14 August 2021.
Its value is directly tied to the Pound Sterling at a rate of £1:2.
As a way to counter hyper-inflation, a hard limit is set on the amount of printable/mintable Sharkteeth. The rule is that a coin or banknote can only be made and money only be added to RBKS bank accounts if the same equivelant of the desired amount is secured in the SFCEX (Sharkby Foreign Currency Exchange) vault.
Plans are underway to introduce a 5/month (£2.50) salary for government officials.
