Sectorology is a protologism coined by micropatriologist Zabëlle Skye in late 2019 or early 2020 to describe the study of sectors. The discipline is underdeveloped, peaking in interest around the late 1990s and early 2000s, particularly with Pedro Aguiar.
History
In the late 1990s or early 2000s, Pedro Aguiar studied the differences between the different language communities (linguistic sectors; phonia) of the intermicronational community. Zabëlle Skye initially proposed the name sectorology to Ives Blackwood in late 2019 or early 2020. Anthony I, Emperor of Saspearian theorised the concept of supersectors in February 2021, followed by Skye developing sector isolate (isolated sectors) in October 2022.
