The Second Johnston's Creek War was a cultural conflict between a Badu Park lead coalition and the IPCP backed Johnston's Creek Liberation Army or JCLA, along with other Johnston's Creek rebels, often seen as the direct continuation of the First Johnston's Creek War. The conflict began after Princely Field Admiral Eugene MethKnuckles, who is a Douglas Grant Park ultranationalist and supremacist, made culturally incentive remarks toward Badu Park citizens during a press conference while drunk, stating "Badu Parkians are as intelligent as my pet potato, and they all have a severe addiction to concrete" later adding "They all wish to cross the border into Douglas Grant Park, and Johnston's Creek must be reclaimed to prevent this" receiving immediate criticism from Badu Park media. He repeatedly made requests to Cheezit McDaniels to continue the "righteous conquest of Badu Park" via the ongoing Johnston's Creek Conflict, hijacking the cultural and national identity of Johnston's Creek residents vying for independence, aiming to use it to reignite the war.

Background

In early 2021, the First Johnston's Creek War ended with a Coalition victory against the IPCP and rebel forces after the Douglas Grant Parkian main defensive line, Fort Armrest, fell during the Second Battle of Fort Armrest. Douglas Grant Park sued for peace, with the coalition and the IPCP entering into an unstable armistice to prevent the complete invasion of Douglas Grant Park. The resulting post-war tension was called the Johnston's Creek Conflict, which consisted of various JCLA terrorist attacks and light skirmishes with Badu Parkian peacekeepers, along with political campaigns aimed at destabilising Badu Park, with heightened espionage between both sides, being somewhat of a cold war between Badu Park and the IPCP, which is still ongoing to this day.

Japitty's Grand Tour

After the war, Badu Parkian leader, President General Colonel Japitty Cumquat, began the complex task of initiating political campaigns in Johnston's Creek to spread Badu Parkian nationalism and dissipate the militant separatist ideology that "plagued the region" as he put it. Japitty would make several public appearances in the creek, making incoherent speeches to very small crowds, and sometimes with no audience at all. This period was dubbed "Japitty's Grand Tour of Johnston's Creek" and was marketed as such by posters and flyers throughout the creek and around the nearby area. The general topics the speeches ranged from commentary on the economy to hyper-specific references surrounding Badu Parkian politics, music, and religion, however the main subjects of the speeches were the demilitarisation of the Johnston's Creek People, the occupation of the region, and the dissolution of the JCLA. The speeches initially went unimpeded, however the JCLA and their allies began boycotting and eventually intruding on the rallies. Badu Parkian military personnel, including the fabled Presidential Guard, were present to deter protests and assassination attempts, however they were underprepared to address organised ambushes. The first few intrusions were small-scale, and were deterred with relative ease by Badu Parkian military personnel. However, the attacks began increasing in frequency and size, and soon became too much for the small detachment of bodyguards to handle. Eventually, Japitty's tour was cancelled, after a rally in the city of Leantown, deep in JCLA heartland, was ambushed by a team of twelve well armed militants, causing Japitty to be evacuated, and two Badu Parkian soldiers to be wounded. Japitty made a public address on Japitt Radio discrediting the attacks, claiming them to be a series of misfires from experimental weaponry stationed within the creek, as well as approximately 24 unfortunately timed car backfires. The explanation was ridiculed as clear propaganda, however the Badu Parkian people were convinced by the fictitious explanation and believed the tour was successful in minimising JCLA activities in the creek.

Increase in Tensions

Japitty's Grand Tour had ended, and with Badu Park military withdrawing in large numbers from the creek after Japitty's reentry into Badu Park, Douglas Grant Park began remobilising, as no official treaty prevented DGP from continuing their operations in the creek. The JCLA still had strong ties to the IPCP, and the People's Front had been maintaining clandestine recruitment operations in an attempt to reignite war with Badu Park. After the initial loss in the first war, the JCLA amassed over one hundred recruits in the largest recruitment campaign ever seen in the Inner West Park Annexation Movement at the time, only to be overshadowed by the recruitment operations of the Sydney World War. The IPCP now had a fully operational military and had assisted in the rearmorment of the rebel forces in the creek, the quickest turn around of a defeated army ever seen in the Inner West. This move was orchestrated by Cheezit McDaniels in an effort to redefine the border between DGP and Badu Park, and it was not intended to be an offensive move, more as a mitigation for further Badu Parkian aggression. This would change after Princely Field Admiral Eugene MethKnuckles would make inflammatory comments towards Badu Park, and begin making requests for McDaniels to begin a second creek war. Japitty would threaten war with McDaniels if he didn't remove MethKnuckles from duty, however McDaniels never agreed, and Japitty's threat was seen to be empty. Seeing Badu Park to be in a weak state, the IPCP began moving to begin "Operation Creek", and on 2 August 2021, they began sending special forces in to the creek to hit Badu Parkian sentry emplacements, marking the start of the war.

Breakout of Conflict

The DGP elements would link up with JCLA and People's Front elements that had been notified to mobilise the day prior on 1 August.
