The Royal Diet of the Principality of Graustark (commonly known as "The Parliament") was the primary legislative body in the nation. While holding no "official" power, the group acted to advise the monarch on bills that the Diet passed and believed should be made into law. While the monarch has the final say (and has the potential power to reject a decision of parliament) they almost always agreed with; and subsequently made law bills passed by the parliament. The official meeting place for the Diet was in the Royal Court Chamber located at the monarch's Princely Estate in the U.S. state of Arizona. However, as most members lived too far away to actively meet at this location; a secondary digital meeting spot was designated in the form of a private Google Hangouts chat room. The parliament was dissolved in July 2021 by the Prince after he decided that their services were no longer needed. This decision was mainly caused by the realization that the parliament was almost completely inactive and in fact had failed to convene in over a year. Though the Prince in theory could revive the parliament at any time in the future, it is widely believed that he won’t due to not wanting to deal with possible opposition/competition to his direct rule.
