The Republic of Savigno (Repubblica Savigno) is an nation in Emilia-Romagna Italy that was formed in 1994. Its current capital and largest city is Savigno. Republic of Savigno is surrounded by Italy Republic claimed sovereignty in 1994 following a vote by Niccolò Parmumati and Luigi Giovanni.
History
Before the Republic formed, Savigno was a town (commune) in Italy Then the first Doge of the republic Niccolò Parmumati declared Savigno inderpendent from Italy because the coruption and Parmumati lost the trust in the Italian government
In 1998, a group of citezens tried to start a rebellion angist the Oligarchy and found a new rebel government as the "Democratic Republic of Savigno" for their ideas as a left-wing state. after negotiations with the doge 2 families join the councill In 2004,the first elections in Savigno and Alberto Brunetti is choisen as the New Doge
Culture
Emilia-Romagna (the region where Savigno located in is) is known for its egg and filled pasta made with soft wheat flour. Savigno is notable for pasta dishes like tortellini, lasagne, gramigna and tagliatelle which are found also in many other parts of the region in different declinations.
Romagna subregion is known as well for pasta dishes like, garganelli, strozzapreti, spoglia lorda and tortelli alla lastra. In Emilia subregion, except Piacenza which is heavily influenced by the cuisines of Lombardy, rice is eaten to a lesser extent. Polenta, a maize-based dish, is common both in Emilia and Romagna. The celebrated balsamic vinegar is made only in the Emilian cities of Modena and Reggio Emilia, following legally binding traditional procedures.[14] Parmigiano Reggiano (Parmesan Cheese) is produced in Reggio Emilia, Parma, Modena and Bologna and is much used in cooking, whilst Grana Padano variety is produced in Piacenza. Although the Adriatic coast is a major fishing area (well known for its eels and clams), the region is more famous for its meat products, especially pork-based, that include: Parma's proscuitto, culatello and Felino salami, Piacenza's pancetta, coppa and salami, Bologna's mortadella and salame rosa, Modena's zampone, cotechino and capello di prete and Ferrara's salama da sugo. Reggio Emilia is famous for its fresh egg-made pasta cappelletti (similar to Bologna's tortellini but differing in size), the typical erbazzone a spinach and Parmigiano Reggiano salted cake and its Gnocco Fritto some kind of mixed flour stripes fried in boiling oil, enjoyed in combination with ham or salami. Piacenza and Ferrara are also known for some dishes prepared with horse and donkey meat. Regional desserts include zuppa inglese (custard-based dessert made with sponge cake and Alchermes liqueur) and panpepato (Christmas cake made with pepper, chocolate, spices, and almonds). An exhaustive list of the most important regional wines should include Sangiovese from Romagna, Lambrusco from Reggio Emilia or Modena, Cagnina di Romagna, Colli Piacentini and Trebbiano from Piacenza.
Secession
The Republic's goal is to gain full independence from the Italy. There are only two realistic ways to achieve this goal. 1. Through political means, including recognition from other nations and political talks with the Italian government. 2. Through war.
Neither of these options as of 2014 look feasible.
Government
The Republic is a Direct Democracy under a Constitutional Oligarchy. Republic's government believes that if the people are able to vote on every decision in the nation, it will heighten morale and will help the citizens be more active in their community. Citizens may run for the office of Councillman and Peoples Comesar, but may not run for Doge or Doges. This is due to the fact that the Republic is a Constitutional Oligarchy. The Oligarchy works like this, 3 families run for office, Brunetti, Giovanni,and Parmumati , These three families are those of the founding fathers. When someone from one of those families becomes Doge, they become the Head of State. This helps to make sure that the Republic always upholds the values that it started on.
Military
The Savignoni Army (Italian:Forze Armate Savignoni ) is the defence force of Savigno and is an branch within the Savigno Military. The most active branch in the Savigno Military is the Savigno Patriotic Corps (AKA Millitary Police), which was founded by Wessel Sahpiro.
