Nesea, officially the Principality of Nesea (Nesean: Nesemera kerewlar, Czech: Nesejské knížectví) is an island micronation located in Central Europe in the Czech Republic in the city of České Budějovice. Nesea declared its independence from the Czech Republic on February 29, 2024. The Principality of Nesea is a semi-constitutional monarchy. The capital city Neeseo is located in the province of Netrigo, which is the main province of the Nesean state. Nesea consists of two provinces, Netrigo and Queláno. Netrigo is an island province and Queláno is a port province. There is a bridge between two of them.
History
In the past, the territory of Nesea fell under the Czech Republic. In December 2020, before the nation was even founded, a mysterious shopping cart (apparently from the nearby Kaufland) appeared on the island. No one knew where it got there, it was just there and disappeared after a few days. According to many theories, the shopping cart was a harbinger of something big. This idea was taken by Fhilli I. of Nesea (Fhilli is the Nesean version of the name Philip), who was the duke of the Duchy of Maperia at the time the shopping cart was found. After Maperia's long inactivity, at the beginning of 2024, Fhilli disbanded the micronation after four years of its existence, and in its place set out to create a new micronation that was heralded by the shopping cart in the past. As the shopping cart was what essentially started Nesea, it is considered a national object, and the square of the capital Neeseo "Square of the Shopping cart" (Czech: Náměstí Košíku) is named after it. Nesea was legally established on February 29, 2024 at 0:00 by the so-called "February Declaration".
Government
The Principality of Nesea is a semi-constitutional monarchy monarchy, with everyone, regardless of nationality, sex, or gender, able to form their own party, run for office, or vote. The conditions include the need to be a Nesean citizen over the age of 14 years. Any political party must be approved by the prince.
The Assembly of Nesea
Nesea has the so-called "Assembly of Nesea" (Czech: Nesejský sněm), abbreviated NS. It is the parliament of Nesea and decides, discusses and submits various proposals (for example, on laws, relations between other micronations, etc.). If the parliament votes on the topic and it passes, it needs to be signed by the prince to be officially valid. The number of members of the assembly must always be odd. The prince can attend the assembly meeting, but cannot vote.
Prince
The highest representative of the state is the prince. He can submit proposals to the assembly, but he cannot influence the vote in any way, he can only sign it or veto it if the given proposal passes through. He decides on the issuance and possible revocation of citizenship. In addition, he is the commander of the National Guard of the Principality of Nesea (NGPN). The prince has the ultimate right of veto and is thus a guarantee of democracy. The current prince is Fhilli I. of Nesea.

Culture
Language
Among the greatest cultural monuments of Nesea is definitely the Nesean language. It is an artificial Romance language in early development. It takes inspiration not only from Spanish or Italian, but also from Estonian, for example. Next to Czech and English, it is the official language of Nesea.
Recipes
Among the other cultural monuments of Nesea is the recipe for nachos with Nesean cheese sauce.
National tree
Despite the fact that there are ten oaks on Netrigo, the national tree is the birch. There are three birches on Netrigo.
National animal
The national animal is the finch, as it is the only bird that nests on Netrigo without any doubt and is strictly protected. The protected landscape area Qrende Earil (English: Great Tree, Czech: Velký Strom) operates right around the tree on which the nest is located.
National monument
Feolvaq hill is a national monument. There are the ruins of a fortress bearing the same name as the hill. This is where the shopping cart appeared at the end of 2020.
Geography
The Principality of Nesea consists of two provinces. The island province of Netrigo (1851.23 m²) and the port province of Queláno (125.32 m²). Netrigo is located on Lake Bagr in Stromovka, České Budějovice, and Queláno is located west of the island. The altitude is approx. 385 m.a.s.l. There are two hills on Netrigo. The smallest, Coletra Neeseoe is ~52 cm tall, and it is on it that the capital city of Neeseo is located. The largest, Feolvaq, which is ~96 cm high, contains the remains of a former wooden fortress holding the same name up the hill. The origin of the fortress is still unknown. It was on Feolvaq that the shopping cart appeared for the first time at the end of 2020. Due to the location of the ruins and the fact that the shopping cart was found on this site, Feolvaq is a national monument of Nesea. There are two trenches around Feolvaq and most of the trees on the island. There are thirteen trees on the island, ten summer oaks on the western half and three white birches on the eastern half. Mushrooms also grow here, mostly on oak trees. The protected landscape area Qrende Earil is also located here. It is there that the protected finch nests.
