James, Prince of Hayne (2 November 2004) is a member of the Exonian Royal Familia and the current heir apparent to the Exonian throne. He is the elder son of Princess Monica by her ex-husband John, 1st Earl of Southavon.
The Prince performs official duties and engagements on behalf of the King. He undertakes projects through His Majesty's Private Council, alongside other members of his family, and his duties include military and political assistance.
In 2022, James was made Duke of Wolverton and Prince of Exeter preceding the abdication of his uncle the Prince of Kent and former heir to the throne. James, due to family pressure, renounced to using his titles and opted to use more modest ones, being created Duke of Chenson, Duke of Quither and Prince of Hayne.
Future King of Exeter
In 2020, months before the Covid-19 pandemic it was clear that Prince Joseph would never marry or have legitimate decadency apart from the various scandals and lack of manners, so it was decided after long deliberation and various parliamentary debates, it was decided that Prince Joseph would not become king any time soon.
On February 2022, King Henry decided that his grandson then only James would become the next king of Exeter, in just some days after Parliament had already passed the Prince James Act of 2022, which made him heir presumptive to his grandfather once he died. Although, this Act only allows Prince James to become king if by Prince Joseph is not able to produce any heirs and marry before the age of 45, Prince Joseph became 45 on 7 September 2021, which is what now has assured the throne to James; this Act does not enable Prince James to bear the title of Prince of Kent, nor any of the subsidiary titles for the heir to the throne, that being the reason why he was made a Prince by Grace and Duke of Wolverton on 2021, since only children of the sovereign and children of the male-line are granted the title of "Prince" upon birth automatically.
