The Prime Minister of Iscobral is the chief executive and head of government of the State of Iscobral.
Iscobral is a parliamentary republic with a president of head of state. The president's powers are largely ceremonial; while the prime minister holds the executive power.
History
The office of prime minister was established on 20 March 2023, and was established with less power than it currently wields. However, it was given more power after the parliamentary system was implemented.
Appointment
The prime minister is appointed by the president. However, they are almost always the leader of the largest party in the Assembly of State and are always nominated for office by the assembly.
Responsibilities
The prime minister advises the president, appoints ministers, controls a majority in the Assembly of State, and guides the legislative process in the assembly of state as well as overseeing the government. The prime minister also nominates people for awards, sets the legislative agenda and has influence over the Iscobrali Defence Forces.
