The President of Estror is the head of state and head of the executive branch of the government of Estror. The president is currently Erich Thaller. The president is directly elected for a term of not longer than 6 months (this will soon change to a term of 3 months). The president has the power to appoint and dismiss the prime minister on the advice of the national assembly as well as to appoint and dismiss ministers on the advice of the prime minister.
