Empire of Aenopia, (/eɪnjoʊpiːɑː/ ( (listen))) officially known as the Empire of Aenopia and her Dependencies and often referred to as Aenopia, is an autonomous territorial entity which claims to be a sovereign state however it is more commonly referred to as a micronation to the majority of people. Founded in the macronation of the United Kingdom of Great Britain (commonly referred to by many as the UK), Aenopia declared independence on 1 July 2019 from said entity. The nation is made up of 5 non-contiguous enclave territories surrounded by the counties of West Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Shropshire in the United Kingdom. The Empire is split into 2 main sections: North Aenopia (Which includes the Territories of Greater New Aberdare and New Llandudno and Subsidiaries) and South Aenopia (Which includes the territories of Bryniau Gwyrdd, Aenopian Calver and Aenopian Teme). Dependencies and dominions are covered under a 3rd minor section titled Her Dependencies.

The sovereign state is ruled by an Emperor under an absolute monarchy. Due to a lack of recognition from all 196 U.N member nations and 2 observer nations, the sovereignty of Aenopia is often questioned, hence the reason as for Aenopia hosting the title of micronation.
