Tartistan, officially the People's Republic of Tartistan is a slightly satircal micronation based in Marin County, California under the benevolent dictatorship of Chancellor Ash Almanza. Tartistan declared independence on 10 August 2023 as a Commonwealth, shortly followed by a People's Republic. Tartistan's territory consists of 2 landlocked provinces, Mainland Province and Creekside Province. The official ideology of Tartistan's dictatorship is Commbrewism.
Etymology
The name "Tartistan" comes from the Chancellor's online username "Drip Tarts."
History
Republic of Toiletstein
The Republic of Toiletstein was a short-lived joke micronation created by Ash Almanza some time around late 2021 and early 2022. Toiletstein was based inside a middle school boys' bathroom. Not much is known about Toiletstein other than it was made when Almanza was in eight grade, and that Ash Almanza was the President alongside his friend Robert Martinez being the Prime Minister.
Almanzia Republic
The Almanzia Republic was yet another short-lived joke micronation created by Ash Almanza in 2023. The Almanzia Republic was based in the right half of a high school's amphitheater. Not much is known about the Almanzia Republic other than it had an official declaration of independence, flag, and capital city named Ultrakolis.
Declaration of Independence
After Almanza had visited the well-known micronation Molossia for the second time, he had remembered about both short-lived joke micronations and decided that he wanted to create an actual long-lasting micronation. The Commonwealth of Tartistan officially declared its independence on 10 August 2023. Tartistan chose Basque as its second language, and Commbrewism as its ideology. Tartistan's original territory was an unofficially claimed small rocky piece of land in Monte Rio, California by the Russian River. However this piece of land would soon be given up and the Mainland Province would officially replace it as the mainland of Tartistan. The small piece of land is now currently the mainland of the Republic of Casualandia.
Important Documents
On 18 August 2023, The Chancellor's Office of the Commonwealth of Tartistan published a document declaring the official annexation of the Creekside Territory. This document is known as the Order of Annexation. The Creekside Territory, also known as just Creekside was a dependency of Tartistan that consisted of a small park located by a creek. It was officially annexed as a territory of the Commonwealth of Tartistan on 18 August 2023.
On 11 December 2023, The Chancellor's Office of the People's Republic of Tartistan published a document declaring the official admission of the Creekside Territory into provincehood. This document is known as the Decree of Admission. The Creekside Territory, which was originally just a territory of Tartistan, was turned into the Creekside Province via the Decree of Admission.
Name Change
On 8 November 2023, The Chancellor's Office of the People's Republic of Tartistan released Proclamation A 11/8/23. This proclamation officially changed the name of the Tartistani nation from the Commonwealth of Tartistan to People's Republic of Tartistan.
Ambassadorship to Slowjamastan
On 6 February 2024, Chancellor Ash Almanza officially became the ambassador of his own country to the Republic of Slowjamastan.
Visit to Slowjamastan
On 17 July 2024, Chancellor Ash Almanza visited the Republic of Slowjamastan. He had visited while the Sultan was in San Diego settling a court case over a parking ticket. The Chancellor had spent about an hour visiting all the states and attractions within the nation.

Geography
Tartistan has 2 provinces, named Mainland Province and Creekside Province respectively. Mainland Province is located at the house of the Chancellor Ash Almanza, as well as some surrounding roads and buildings. Creekside Province is located in a small park.
Economy
The official currency of the People's Republic of Tartistan is the Tartistani Moneta (both singular and plural). "Moneta" is the Basque word for "Currency." The Tartistani Moneta is linked in value to a can of Arizona Iced Tea, specifically Raspberry flavor. The Tartistani Moneta can be found in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100.
