The Order of the Legion of Honor of Lubenia (LHL) is the highest honour of former Knightly Order of Acerini, Lubenia and the Principality of New Lubenia.

The intention of the Order is to honour those who distinguished themselves for services to Lubenia.

History

The order was established in 1982 under the name "Order of the Legion of Honor" as the highest award of the knightly order Acerini, which contained Order's emblem, an arrow-pierced apple, on its regalia and served as a means of forming its Priory ("core"). In fact, however, in the history of the Order of Acerini, not a single award has been made with this highest honour. The insignia of the order was designed by it's current Font of Honour, who served as Supreme Judge in the Order and after its dissolution became the Keeper of Traditions.

On 1 July 2020, the Order of Acerini was awakened by the transfer of reefs Maria Theresa (Tabor), Jupiter and Ernest Legouve, the overseas claims of the Freetown New Kodak, under its control. Thereby its reward system was also awakened, which, after the Order in the person of the Keeper of Traditions declared sovereignty over the reefs with subsequent self-dissolution and continuation in the nation of New Lubenia, became the basis of the Lubenian reward system.

After the relaunch of the Order of the Legion of Honor as the Lubenian State Award, it received a refinement in the name and a new ribbon of the national colours of Lubenia, and was divided into five stages on the model of the French prototype.

Until the election of the Prince of New Lubenia remains in dormant status, except for diplomatic awards, the authority of which has the founder-vicar in agreement with the Minor Legislature.

Also included in the system of the Order of the Legion of Honor of Lubenia was the former Acerini's membership badge, divided into Resident (is a means of granting residence to New Lubenia) and Honorary (on the ribbon of inverted colours) Medals.

On 3 December 2020, the Advent Chapterhouse LHL decided to grant the Legionary of the Order to all current recipients of the Resident Medal, which is expected by the first decree of the enthroned Prince. It was implemented on 2 January 2021 by Decree No. 1 of the elected Prince.

On 6 December 2020, the High Choirs of the Knipaw Cathedral were appointed the capitular church of the order.
