The Most Imperial Order of the Grand Duchy is the highest order of chivalry awarded by the Imperial Grand Duke of Lundenwic. The Order was founded on the 1 June 2014 by Imperial Edict from the Imperial Grand Duke. The Order has four ranks starting with Grand Master/Mistress, Officer, Companion and Member.
Precedence and privilege
Officers of the Order are ranked just under Cabinet Ministers in the order of precedence of Lundenwic. The also rank above Officers of the Most Honourable Order of Lundenwic. Companions and Members rank under higher army officials in the order of precedence of Lundenwic. They rank above Companions and Members of the Most Honourable Order of Lundenwic.
Officers, Companions and Members all prefix "Sir" or "Lady" to their forenames, unless they have higher precedence titles. Husbands and wives of Officers, Companions and Members may prefix "Sir or "Lady" to their surnames, unless they have higher precedence titles. Officers use the post-nominal letters "OGD", Companions use the post-nominal letters "CGD" and Members use the post-nominal letters "MGD". Post-nominal letters from this order should be first in the order of wear when a subject uses multiple post-nominal letters.
