Operation: New Zealand is a planned television show, written and directed by the Arstotzkan Union's First President Ethan Brinkman. It is also to be produced by InterFilms.com and revolves around the idea of the United States invading New Zealand in 2019.
Plot
Background
On 12 March 2019, United States President Donald Trump, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, meet in Washington DC and discuss the end of the ANZUS Treaty. The treaty is abolished. On 23 March 2019, the United States burns though its final reserves of uranium leading to a recession. This occurs after the United Nations and other nations began to take serious measures regarding the production of nuclear weapons.
On 11 April 2019, teenage cave explorers in Otago, New Zealand discover an unexplored cave which leads to a massive uranium deposit. Scientific analysis discovers that the deposit contains 150,000 metric tons of uranium. One day later the Untied States agrees to buy the uranium from New Zealand. On 1 May 2019, US President Donald Trump, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mark A. Milley, Commander of US Indo - Pacific Command Philip S. Davidson, and US Pacific Fleet Commander John C. Aquilino join in Washington DC to draft Operation: Darkshadow, a US invasion of New Zealand to ensure that the United States holds sole control of the uranium in the south pacific. At the same time, the New Zealand Parliament passes the Nuclear Probable Export Taxation Act 2019 which emboldens the US to pass Operation Darkshadow, despite some reluctance.
On 15 October 2019, the United States Indo-Pacific Command moves from Hawaii to major cities around New Zealand with the entire Command expected to arrive in New Zealand by October 22nd.
