New Tenochtitlan is the capital city of the Norfolk Empire and house of the Royal Family and the Norish House of Commons.
Etymology
Since the Norfolk Empire considers itself to be the successor of the Aztec Empire, they decided to name the capital city after the former capital city of the Aztec Empire, Tenochtitlan. The word “Tenochtitlan” also means “place of the nopal rock[1]”.
History
Tamcoopese Occupation
Before the Norfolk Empire attempted to conquer the area that is the City of New Tenochtitlan, it was under control of the Republic of Tamcoop. It was under control of the Republic of Tamcoop for two years and nine months, as of the date of this documentation. Not much has happened in the area, due to the inactivity of the Tamcoopese government, but there have been multiple revolutions centred in the area. The Genasian Revolution of 2017 started on the land of the City of New Tenochtitlan, but ended shortly, the Konation Revolution of 2018 started on the land of the City of New Tenochtitlan, but also ended shortly, and the most recent Revolution was the Democracy Now Revolution, but ended after about two hours of fighting.
Conquering the Norfolk Empire
On 26 June 2019, the conquering of the District of New Tenochtitlan, where the City of New Tenochtitlan is, had begun. The Libereco Wall was constructed to be the border between the Norfolk Empire and the Republic of Tamcoop. The wall has been constructed out of bean bag chairs, plastic, wooden, and metal bins, and a chair. The wall was named after the word for “Freedom” in Esperanto to represent the Freedom of the District of New Tenochtitlan from the Republic of Tamcoop. Multiple important supplies, such as a lacrosse stick, golf club, punching mitt, three helmets, a shin pad, elbow pad, glove, two sets of spiked sports shoes, two duffel bags, three backpacks, two pieces of wood, a stapler, hole puncher, binoculars, a multi-coloured tape roll, and a bag of climbing wall rocks.[2] These supplies could be used to defend the District of New Tenochtitlan or to gain more land for the subdivision. The situation is still ongoing.
Administration
The City of New Tenochtitlan does not have a mayor and is controlled by the Royal Family.
