The Monarchy of Slin is the monarchy that reigns over the Empyre of Slin. The monarchy previously existed as the monarchy of the Slinky Parliamentary Monarchy, commonly referred to as the Slinky Empyre, from the foundation of the Empyre on 31 December 2009 up to its dissolution on 17 January 2011.
Powers and duties
According to the Constitution of Slin:
- The Monarch has unlimited authority, except limitations placed by the Constitution and other laws.
- The ability to overrule Viceroys/Vicereines.
- Appoint individuals to act on behalf of the Monarch in certain cases.
- Unable to prevent Deputies of active Justices from voting freely.
Since the monarchy is elective, any citizens can run to become the Monarch, unless they are banned from holding a monarchy position.
