Marxist Party of Edristan
The Democratic Socialist Party of Edristan (DSPE) (formerly also known as MPE) is a Marxist-Socialst Party active in the People's Republic of Edristan.

Ideology
The DSPE is a socialist Party that wants to get as close to Marxist Communism as possible on a small scale. Unlike many other Communism-Orientated Parties, the DSPE is aiming to integrate elements of various socialist ideologies into the nations economy, as well as into its culture. However, Party Leadership has stated, that, while the party is trying to shape the politics as Social and fair as possible, the realization of marxist principles would be difficult on such a small scale, with a lack of finances, production capacity and authority which would be to be excercised collectively.
The DSPE is also positioning itself for LGBTQ+ rights, Religious Freedom and strongly against Fascism and Racism.
Success of the Party
Internal Success
The DSPE has for a while been a type of go-to political party within Edristan. Until the declaration of wanting to seperate and create an own respective political party by several party members in 2023, many people joined the party simply due to being comparably large and having its own political agenda. It is likely that, with the People's Republic of Edristan in recent times gaining a more diverse political landscape, this may change.
Sucess in Parliament
Since the foundation of Edristan, the DSPE has always been elected into parliament with at least 67% of votes. It has therefore been successful in all elections, always posing as the main government party.
