Leader of the Opposition (Wellmoore)
The Leader of the Opposition is the politician who leads the official opposition in the Kingdom of Wellmoore. The Leader of the Opposition is the Leader of the Largest Political Party that is not in Government.
The Leader of the Opposition can be seen as a Shadow Prime Minister. They lead an Official Opposition Shadow Cabinet which scrutinises the actions of the Cabinet led by the Prime Minister of Wellmoore, as well as offer alternative policies.

History
The position of Leader of the Opposition was established on the 14th of March 2020 along with HM's Government of Wellmoore and the passing of the Wellmoorean Constitution.
Modern Role
Appointment
The Leader of the Opposition is automatically appointed after the appointment of the Prime Minister of Wellmoore. The Leader of the Opposition is always the leader of the largest political party that isn't in government.
Office of the Leader of the Opposition
The Leader of the Opposition's Office is to assist the Leader of the Opposition in their duty as Leader of the Shadow Cabinet.
The Office of the Leader of the Opposition is formally part of the Shadow Cabinet.
Resignation & Succession
In the case of the resignation of the Leader of the Opposition before the end of their term the party they belong to may elect a new leader who will immediately succeed as Leader of the Opposition after election.
Precedence, Privileges and Forms of Address
All Leaders of the Opposition receive the prefix of The Right Honourable (The Rt. Hon.) as the Leader of the Opposition becomes a member of the Privy Council of Wellmoore upon appointment.
