Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) persons in the Democratic Republic of Subejia face legal challenges not experienced by non-LGBT residents. Sodomy is a crime in the country, with laws strictly enforced, and social attitudes towards the LGBT community are shaped by Islam, the official state religion of Subejia. Breaking the law is punishable by exile from Subejia to another micronations or macronations. The law was introduced by SEMASA Party.

In August 2021, a court declared that any state laws within Subejia cannot be in conflict or override with clear federal laws banning gay sex.[citation needed]
