The Kingdom of Ocanom is a micronation located in North America, surrounded by the Canadian province of Prince Edward Island. It was founded in 2024, and has 367 citizens.
History
In 2024, Sir Francis P. Whittenburg purchased a plot of land on Prince Edward from the Canadian government, for a total of 900$. The land, only one hectare, is completely wooded, and located around thirty minutes from Charlottetown, where the Viscount resides. Whittenburg raised the green, white, and red Ocanese flag on the land, thus claiming it for the newly founded kingdom. In the days after it's founding, the monarch travelled to the mighty Ontario to gain new citizens, introducing a citizenship by investment program, costing only five Canadian Dollars. 367 people pitched in, and the kingdom was born. In 2024, the Kingdom declared war on the Republic of Molossia, the Empire of Austenasia, and the Empire of Adammia.
Geography
The kingdom is located in Northwest Prince Edward Island, closest to the town of Cornwall.
Economy
The Kingdom's economy is largely based on farming.
Government and Politics
The Kingdom's government is an absolute Monarchy, meaning that all political power is given to King Whittenburg.
Military
The Kingdom maintains an army. There is conscription, and every male citizen of the kingdom must commit to two years of reserve military training in the army.
