Junopolis is the capital city of New Reno and the seat of power for the Renoan Empire. It is also the residence of the Queen and Matriarch, with 4 of the 5 members of the Renoan Royal Family calling the city home. The city is the historical and cultural center of New Reno, having been born out of a tiny city state in June 2015. Over the course of its history, the city has grown in population and its influence slowly expanded to the point that it has outlived several of its predecessors all of whom exercised some political authority or another over it. After the fall of the Smithist regime in Cascadia in September 2021, New Reno emerged the dominant power in the region amongst numerous rump states that existed, competed, and failed to united the former territories. As such, it changed its name to Junopolis after the young Queen herself. In September 2022, after a failed attempt at a republican democracy, New Reno was reorganized as the Renoan Empire after successfully reuniting the former Laurentian, Carolinian, and Cascadian territories. In May 2023, it successful completed its democratic transition, having transitioned from an autocratic absolute monarchy to a constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary system. It also began a campaign of foreign relations, the first since the collapse of Cascadia. The capital itself has maintained its rich culture and heritage, particularly of its Celtic roots and ancestry. Despite not always being the center of administrative power, it has long been considered one of three, and later two, major cities of cultural power and significance across multiple micronations. It is now considered the undisputed center of power, culture and economics with Titaniapolis a distant second as home of the current Prime Minister.
