Major Productions

The L and A (2016-2018)

One of the company's most notable productions, "The L and A", ran for three seasons and consisted of 17 episodes. The series follows the adventures of two main characters, Luigi and Alex, who, along with their organization, The L&A Organization, developed a wormhole generator that allows them to travel through time and space. The L&A Organization serves as the government of Nintenite, the most powerful planet in their galaxy. Inspired by characters and settings from Nintendo, Star Wars, and other media, the series begins with the development of this technology, leading the characters into a series of unexpected and thrilling adventures. Throughout the three seasons, the characters encounter various challenges, including manipulating time, facing paradoxes, and dealing with the consequences of their actions. The first season of the series predates the founding of the micronation of Northudankton by one week.

In the first season, Luigi and Alex's initial experiments with the wormhole generator lead them to the mysterious world of Zartour, where they face a tear in the fabric of time and space. The second season delves deeper into the complexities of time travel as the characters return to their original timeline with new insights, encounter border patrols, and get involved in an interplanetary war between the Nintenian and Arkizien factions. The third and final season explores the mysterious EverShift Forest, deals with the team’s struggle to stay united without a leader, and concludes with a murder investigation that uncovers deeper mysteries.

Throughout the series, Luigi's journey is marked by personal growth and the development of his character, while Alex's actions and decisions drive much of the plot. Their adventures highlight themes of friendship, bravery, and the consequences of tampering with time and space. The series concludes with the episode "The Goomberry Tree," where Luigi's quest to pick a goomberry in the Goombian Forest leads to unexpected events, bringing the series to a close. The series was canceled after that.

The original concept of "The L and A" traces back to the childhood adventures of Jonathan T. Freeman and Alex R. Jackson, circa 2010 to 2016, where they acted out as their favorite characters from various media. These imaginative play sessions gradually evolved into more complex narratives, ultimately leading to the creation of original characters and settings distinct from their initial inspirations. Over the years, the story became more structured, culminating in the YouTube series that documented their adventures. Despite its conclusion in 2018, the legacy of "The L and A" continues to influence Jonathan's creative endeavors, particularly in his work on "The Novyra Operatives," a work-in-progress novel that is set on expanding on the universe and maturing the themes and storyline introduced in the original series to create a more engaging story.
