History
Lycon asked the Parliament of Essexia to create a "pretigious award for anyone who pays their taxes". Jack Dean then bragged about the only person in Essexia to paid tax to the Commonwealth government. Isaiah David suggested the name "Illustrious Order of the Tax Payers", which was later edited to its current name.

Eligibility
There are no formal requirements, however, anyone who asks Lycon and pays their taxes (which can include sales tax, income tax, etc), can be awarded. There is no proof required for tax forms as it is under the honour system, but applicants must specify a tax that they paid. Recipients of the award are given the right to use the post-nominals "TAX" and the honourific style "Taxpayer Simp".
However, people who have drunk / ate at Starbucks are illegible and will get their order revoked if they are caught eating / drinking there. Again, it is under the honour system and no track record of Starbucks visits are required.
