Ian Southwell

Ian Southwell is a former micronationalist across Chicagoland and the greater Illinois area. He was the former Minister of Foreign Relations for the Holy Republic of FRID before leaving the republic to create the Salt Creek Republic.

Micronational career

Ian Southwell started his career as a micronational diplomat as one of the co-founders of the Holy Republic of FRID. During his time with the HRF, he was the Minister of Foreign Relations and a key contributor in the HRF's growing phases. In addition, Southwell was the vice-chair of the Assembly of Chicagoland Micronations and represented the HRF.

On 24 January 2024, Ian Southwell brought forth the formal declaration of surrender of the Salt Creek Republic to the Holy Republic of FRID, signing it on behalf of the SCR. Following the signing, Southwell worked with the HRF in transitioning succeeded territory and SCR assets, as well as governmental restructuring.
