The Surrey International Open is a proposed 4-6 team competition organised by International Surrey Football and is intended to take place annually from the county of Surrey, or the surrounding area in South East, England, based football ground starting in 2017. The Surrey International Open is intended to be comparable to other invitational competitions found in women's football such as the Cyprus Cup or the Algarve Cup. The competition first came about after a failed attempt to bring the ConIFA European Football Cup to Surrey in August 2017 due to the high financial demands put in place by ConIFA.

Format

The format is dependent upon the number of teams that compete, should it be either 4 of 6 teams competing.

A 4 team format will consist of a 4 team round-robin. Points awarded in the group stage followed the standard formula of three points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a loss.

A 6 team format will consist of a group stage involving 2 groups of 3 teams with the top 2 in each group progressing to a knockout stage involving semi-finals and final rounds as well as third and fifth placement matches also taking place, ensuring each team at least 4 games in a 6 team competition.
