Templates are MicroWiki pages created to be included in other pages. Templates contain repetitive material that needs to be shown across a large number of articles or pages. Templates are commonly used for internal messages, infoboxes, navigational boxes, and more.
The most common method of using a template is transclusion, where the wikitext of the target page references the template page, using the {{Template name}} syntax. Another method of including templates is substitution, where the template's wikitext is directly copied over to the target page upon saving, however, this method should rarely be used, and should not be used at all on templates marked with {{Never substitute}}. Templates for which substitution is preferable will be marked with {{always substitute}}.
