History
The high court was established on 24 June 2022. It was created as part of the Earl-Marshal's role as the heraldry lead in the Kingdom of Albia.
Appeals
Typically the Privy Council acts as the appeal court for cases heard by the High Court of Chivalry. As the Privy Council is overseen by the Monarch of Albia and the President of the Privy Council, another Great Officer of State, the appeal is handled by the monarch and is advised upon by privy councillors.
Composition
Judges
The Albian Earl-Marshal is the officially constituted judge of the court. However, if the appointed earl-marshal isn't from a legal background they are permitted to nominate someone more qualified to act as a surrogate or lieutenant judge to take their place in court hearings.
