The Grand Alliance of States is an intermicronational political organization formed on November 24, 2019, by the Isaiah Deegan and Brett Durst. The first two members were the Great States of O'Duighan and the Holy Empire of Jesus. The Great States of O'Duighan left on April 3, 2020 when Isaiah Deegan formed the National State of Deegranto, and the Holy Empire of Jesus was expelled on February 11, 2020 for inactivity. The organization then went dormant before being revived on April 11, 2024. The organization's main goal is to get micronations to be serious again as they were from the 1800s to the end of the 1970s. The organization believes that micronations were inherently revolutionary, as they are the everyday person creating their own nation and challenging the current political order. They believe micronations were neutered by the macronations after the 1970s, as they felt threatened by these new upstart nations cropping up. So they turned it into a movement of jokesters and roleplayers, thus killing the potential micronations had, Therefore, the organization seeks to bring that idea back to life. The organization only allows nations that seek to be revolutionary and treat themselves as actual real-life countries, not games or fake things.
