The Governorate of Bahovia is a Governorate of the Kingdom of Fontasia. Its capital is the city of Druya. It has a total population of 5. Bahovia was originally a part of the Buddie Union, but it was subsequently annexed by the Kingdom of Fontasia during the Orkar Crisis.

Brief History

The region of Bahovia is in the larger area of Sandrania in Assemblia, which subsists of the southeastern corner of Assemblia. Not much is known about the area before the 2010s by Fontasians.

In 2013, Fontasians would occupy all of Sandrania during the Amstrian Wars, and furthermore in November 2014 Sandrania and Fontasia would unify to form the United Kingdom of Sandrania-Fontasia. Fontasia would subsequently revolt from the union in May 2015, and then conquer all of Sandrania as a part of the Fontasian Conquest of Assemblia.

Sandrania would remain Assemblian for nearly half a decade after, with Buddie Union de facto the region by approximately 2020. On 5 February 2022, the Buddie Union would gain complete control over the region, however this would cease on 5 November 2022 with the end of the Orkar Crisis, which saw Bahovia being annexed by Fontasia through the Treaty of Lyndonburg, and becoming a Fontasian governorate. In late November, the first Fontasian expeditions into the Vaitego Woods occurred. Mohammed [last name unknown] was elected the first Governor of Bahovia on 10 January 2023.

Government

Until the beginning of localised rule in the Kingdom of Fontasia in late 2022, the Governorate of Bahovia, as with all Governorates were directly controlled by the Fontasian Royal Government. In the Fall 2022 Praetorial election, the Governorate of Millisia supported the Free Fontasia Party.

Geography

Bahovia is located in the southeastern part of the Fontasian Assemblian governorates as well as Assemblia itself. It is bordered by the Governorate of Fontasia to the west and the Buddie Union in all other directions. Known for its large forests, it is relatively undeveloped. On its eastern border lies Sandra Pond, the second-largest man made reservoir in Fontasia. Bahovia has possession of the woodlands on the western coast of the pond, known as the Bahovian Westernlands. The northern part of the governorate is forested as well, the Font River, flowing from the Governorate of Fontasia meets the Orkar River near the settlement of Jackstraw, continuing eastwards together as the Font River. The central part of the Governorate is the most developed, with many neighborhoods. The western part of the Governorate is defined by the Vaitego Woods, an extension of the Governorate of Fontasia's Corrigith Forest. The woods is known for its hilly terrain and many water sources. The Orkar River makes the western border of the Governorate.

The climate of Bahovia is the same to all other Assemblian governorates, with frigid winters and hot summers.
