The front cover of the published edition of Flaud Argument.

Flaud Argument (branded as "the greatest political essay of our time" by the Max Barrows Foundation) is an excerpt from an argument in the Excelsioran official Discord server written by Max Barrows arguing against capitalism. It is widely copied and pasted in the Discord servers of Excelsior (where it originated), Georgienstine, Cotter Menaceland, Gapla, and several other micronations, as a copypasta and a meme, as well as in the Aequitas Pact. The text has been converted and cnaged into multiple different mediums, such as parody videos or images.

Flaud argument has become ingrained in Excelsioran culture having been recognized by multiple public figures as Excelsior's most famous piece of literature, and has been officially designated a "national treasure". Flaud argument has often been central to Excelsioran humor and comedy. For his part in creating the text, Max Barrows was awarded the Order of the Laurel, 2nd class, Excelsior's third highest national civilian honor.

The Max Barrows Foundation was established by Nicolas Caiazzo and Silas Wurnbash in May of 2023 to promote publication of Flaud Argument and other texts written by barrows. The Foundation released The Selected Works of Max Barrows, a compilation of Barrows's political writings and public arguments, in June of 2023. The foundation has also published and printed Flaud Argument physically.

The text is noted for its inconsistent grammar and lack of punctuation.

Text

The text of the work is as follows:

This is a very flaud argument made by the right when capitalism always takes the king in oppressing people and dosent promote mental freedom or freedom of oppertunity and in monarchy your forced to worship some already born to die king in fascism for example the imperial Japanese killed 20,000,000 people during there brutal invasions and the nazis killed 17,000,000 people during the holocaust combind 1/3 being jews who where put in ghettos sence they wer considered poor and filthy and the same thing goes on in america with gay people and black people there considered filthy so the bourgaise on purpose class devide the citys into sections also calle self segregation were they seperate poor versus rich im not using a chromebook i amk using a plane computer owned by Lenovo well the thing about that the excuses are well maos china or stalin USSR when the fake is they werent socialist they cared more about authoritarianism then they really cared about the one true main goal of socialism This is idea comes up on the fake the the Name national socialist is used by the nazis but in reallity they chose that name because at that time it was common to vote for socialistic figures so they chose that name for more votes but in reallity there economics were more nuetral and there social views were very conservative considering they hate abortion and they call it white genocide It only offers that to the rich the rich get of scott free for example when they commit crimes put when a worker does it say they get jail time or prison time if proven guilty this is just a slight example but lets take the company

The second part of the work is less used, but is still part of Flaud Argument:

It only offers that to the rich the rich get of scott free for example when they commit crimes put when a worker does it say they get jail time or prison time if proven guilty this is just a slight example but lets take the company Arconic for another examplr sence i live near them they are known to oppress there workers the barely take any care for them sence the government cant the company is free to do what they want so they can easilly make the conditions harsh when unions protest people get fired and the thing is there forced to make bigg stuff like airplane wings in that factory which polutes the air for the whole quad cities area and somewhat unrelated but i know the democratic socialists of davenport are working on fixing these conditions but even then many of there workers are being abused there and some have them have even died and the company never paid those familys of the death victims nor appoligize for it so your point being how socialism oppressises people well hears how capitalism does
