Symbolism
The first co-official, and original, flag is a horizontal tricolor of orange, blue, and black. The orange symbolizes courage and sacrifice, the blue symbolizes liberation, and the black symbolizes determination.
On the second co-official flag, the coat of arms of Slavtria is added to the center of the tricolor, symbolizing national pride.
Confusion with flag of Theria
The Slavtrian flag may be confused with the flag of Theria by many people, but the Slavtrian flag was made more than a year before the Therian flag. The federal government had concerns that Theria had copied the Slavtrian flag. These concerns were acknowledged by the Therian government, with the President of Theria contacting the President of Slavtria. As of 21 October 2022, the concerns have been cleared up.
