The flag of the Great Lawl Reich, consisting of a white cross on a blue background with a small L on the upper left canton, is one of the officially recognised national symbols of the Great Lawl Reich. The current flag is based on the national flag used by the Kingdom of Greece. The flag of the Great Lawl Reich has been used on the upper left cantons of the flags of the Great Lawl Reich Southern Pacific Territory and the Tsardom of Butugychag.[n 1]

History

First three flags

When the Great Lawl Reich was established, the first flag it adopted was based on the flag used by the Wehrmacht from 1935 to 1938 with the Swastika and Iron Cross replaced with two Ls. On 12 July 2014, the flag would be change replacing the larger L with a blue star. The flag would change entirely on 30 September 2015 where new flag design was adopted due to Stefan I wanting to move away from the flag design used by the German Reich. Following the adoption of the third flag, the Great Lawl Reich adopted its first coat of arms.[n 2] The third flag was also used on the flag of the Great Lawl Reich Southern Pacific Territory on the upper left canton. Before the establishment of the Province of Butugychag, the third flag was originally going to be used but was scraped when the incorporation of Butugychag was delayed after the third flag was retired. The third flag was retired on 26 December 2019 as Stefan I wanted to adopt a newer design that He liked more and that at the time the third flag was depicted far more roughly than it is now.

Fourth and newest flags

The fourth flag was adopted on 26 December 2016, along with a new coat of arms and flag of the Southern Pacific Territory. The fourth flag was based on national flag of the Kingdom of Greece. The flag of Province of Butugychag also used the fourth flag on the upper left canton. The flag would be redesigned on 12 March 2019 due to Stefan I wanting the flag to not have a more complex design on it as well as concerns of said design having compression issues causing it to not look good on the flags that uses the flag of the Great Lawl Reich on their canton. The fifth flag, along with a new coat of arms and flags of the Southern Pacific Territory and Butugychag, was adopted on 12 March 2019 having removed the crown off the flag. The fifth flag is still in use to this day.
